The work includes removal and replacement of approximately 1020 linear feet of bulkheads, whalers and fender piles; install rip rap along beach areas; install new boat ramp; install new lighting with high pressure sodium fixtures; remove existing turning dolphin and install new turning dolphin. The total Estimated Cost of Construction for this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Time for completion of the work will be 180 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed. A pre-bid meeting is tentatively scheduled for August 7, 1996, at Plum Island. Sets of plans and specifications will be available for a non-refundable charge of $75.00 (check or money order) made payable to USDA, Agricultural Research Service.
