Z -- NEW SHINGLE ROOFING OR SHINGLE ROOF PATCHING FOR VARIOUS BUILDINGS AT NSA MEMPHIS, MILLINGTON, TN Sol N62467-96-B-5271 due 080896. Contact, Dolores Quinton (901-873-5061), Contracting Officer, Gary Busby, (901-873-5061). Furnish all labor, tools, incidental engineering, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide new shingle roofing, or shingle roof patching, for various buildings all as designated by Delivery Orders that will be issued to the Contractor for a period not to exceed one year from the date of the contract award. The Government may exercise a second year option on this contract. The Davis Bacon wage rate will not be adjusted in the option year. Some reroofing will be over existing shingle roofing and in other cases existing roofing shall be removed and new shingle roofing provided. As a part of reroofing, all flashings are to be replaced, or where missing, flashings shall be provided. For some buildings where roofing work is to be accomplished, gutters and/or downspouts will be replaced, and in some cases, gutters and downspouts will be added. Also to be included is the replacement of rotted or otherwise deteriorated wood decking, structural roof framing members such as joists and rafters, and fascia boards, including attached trim pieces, and incidental related work. This work also includes the handling and removal of non-friable asbestos containing materials. Time for completion is twelve (12) months. This solicitation will issue on or about July 9, 1996. (166)
