59 -- AMPLIFIERS POC Elliott Gilmore, Contracting Officer, Tel.: (202)205-5414 - Fax.: (202)205-5466 The United States Information Agency's Bureau of Broadcasting, Voice of America (VOA), intends to procure five (5) (with an option for an additional five (5), off-the shelf, broadband High Frequency, solid-state, 500 watt CW amplifiers with broadband impedance matching units that operate over the 3.95 MHZ to 26.5 MHZ broadcasts bands. The Government will First-Article-Test one amplifier and matching unit at its Delano, California Radio Relay Station. After the Government issues written acceptance of the First Article Test, the Contractor shall ship the remaining amplifiers to the VOA site where Agency technicians will install them in BBC SK53C3 HF Transmitters. Type of contract is firm fixed price, negotiation (offerors may take acception to or recommend modification of the technical specifications). Solicitation No. is: IA2102-S6234679. Estimated Proposal due date: July 29, 1996. Within ninety (90) calendar days after contract award, the Contractor shall ship, via airfreight, one(1) broadband amplifier and impedance matching unit, FOB Destination to the above referenced Agency site for first article testing. The Government will install and test the units for one hundred and twenty (120) days. The remaining four (4) units shall be delivered to the site within ninety (90) days after the Government's approval of the First Article Testing. The units must include copies of the amplifier measured data, the installation drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, a recommended spare parts list, and acceptance test plans for each amplifier and matching unit delivered. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. All requests for this solicitation and/or technical questions must be in writing and submitted by fax message no later than July 16, 1996.
