This is a Notice of Intent announcing that the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Bethesda, MD. intends to place an order with Scanalytics, 40 Linnell Circle, Billerica, Massachusetts 01821, to upgrade two (2) Government-owned Cell Scan Systems, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (b) as authorized by 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1). Any response must be received in writing within 45 calendar days from the published date of this notice. The contractor shall furnish and install the following items: Processor Board with 640 million floating points per second, 64Mb of DRAM, 12 Slot 6u Chassis, Force 2ce/16-40-1, P2 Connector, Micro to RS232 Cable, QIC150 Tape Drive, Software CSPI Version FB200-FO Superkit 4.4, Ethernet Interface Kit including cable and software. All the items specified above shall be manufactured by scanalytics and shall be completely compatible with two (2) Government-owned Cell Scan Systems, Model Number 1C502, as manufactured by Scanalytics, 40 Linnell Circle, Billerica, Massachusetts 01821. It is the Governments belief that this requirement can be met only by scanalytics. This is not a formal solicitation. However, concerns that respond to this notice must furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability ot accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform. Information furnished shall include enough material to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results. See Note 22. (0171)
