Haynie, 1LT, usafat FAX (804)279-6078 voice (804)279-3055 The defense Supply Center, Richmond (dscr), Richmond, Virginia is seeking to establish a Long term contractual relationship to provide various aviation structural components (1560 FSC) currently on backorder status at this Center to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and its Federal customers. Contractor will be tasked with providing logistical support services, specifically tolocate, facilitate source qualification, and supply to the Government actual end-item spares currently onbackorder status. Through on-line analysis of customer demands on backorder status, the contractor must developa logistical support system, detailed procurement plan, and a managerial system capable of supporting agencyrequirements. Dscr seeks industry comments on aproposed draft Solicitation to accomplish this end. In addition, dscr seeks industry comment on electroniccommerce/electronic data interchange (EC/EDI) systems currently in use or which may be developed for use with this initiative. As a result of the draft request for proposal (RFP) available for issue on or about 15 Jul 96 the Government intends to make a single award to satisfy Government requirements. All responsible sources capable of satisfying the Government'S needs are encouraged to provide comments.
