COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 21,1996 PSA#1621NIH, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, COB, Procurement
Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive MSC 7902, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902 70 -- COUNTERPOINTM 4-CHANNEL MK2 SYSTEM OR EQUIVALENT SOL
NHLBI-PS-SP-96-249 DUE 070896 POC Deborah Coulter, Purchasing Agent,
(301) 435-0366 Debra Hawkins, Contracting Officer, (301) 435-0366. The
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute intends to purchase a
Counterpoint MKII, 4-Channel EMG system, Model 18A14 or equivalent,
manufactured by Dantec Medical Inc. The system must meet the following
specifications: (1) Data format has to be compatible with the existing
Dantac Counterpoint, (2) Amplifiers: pre-amplifiers with high input
impedance () 1000 Mohms) and low noise (( 1 microvolt) at 2 hz - 10 khz
bandwidth, EMG amplifiers with sensitivity ranging from 0.5 microvolt
to 10 mV/division, Filters with low frequency limits of 0.2 to 3000 hz,
and high frequency limits of 30 to 20Khz, Externally analog inputs for
signal which are already amplified externally such as force,
displacement, etc. (3) Simulators: Dual constant-current simulators
with: stimulus duration: 0.05 msec to 1msec, stimulus intensity: 0.1 to
99 mamps, stimulus repetion ratio 0.1 to 100 hertz, separate output and
control for each stimulator; stimulus polarity should be easily
controlled, switchable between negative, positive, and alternate:
alternate polarity is needed to perform biphasic stimulation, essential
for stimulus artifac reduction in our studies, mode of stimulation:
single, repetitive, paired, and train stimuli, synchronous pulse output
available with each stimulus to trigger other devices, external trigger
to control stimulators and start data collection. (4) Data Acquisition,
Analysis and Display: High data sampling rate (200Khertz for one
channel, or 50 Khz per channel when using all four channels) with
t2-bit digital resolution. Sweep should be triggerable in manual,
external, signal, stimulation, and free run mode: a delay line of -100%
is required; sweep expansion without loss of resolution is required.
Menu-driven and user-friendly test programs with pre-set parameters
which are also adjustable during data acquisition mode for the
following studies: nerve conduction studies: motor and sensory nerve
conduction velocity, F-wave, electromyography studies: spontaneous
activity, motor unit potentials, power spectrum analysis, evoked
potentials studies: somatosensory evoked potentials. Special functions:
signal averagers and rectifiers are required; integrators, or automatic
measurement of the area under the curve between two cursor positions on
the curve is also required, built-in high speed thermal printer with
buffer and queue for uninterrupted operation, standard 1EEE-488 bus
interface for communication with any type of computer to allow data
storage and data analysis using other commercial statistical packages
available on personal computers. Vendors capable of furnishing the
government the items specified in this advertisement should submit a
quotation to the below address, which shall include; an itemized price
quotation, the period of delivery, prompt payment discount terms and
descriptive literature of the equivalent product quoted identifying all
of the specification and functions. All responses received before the
closing date (7/8/96, 7:00 A.M.) of this advertisement will be
considered by the government. The anticipated award date is (7/12/96).
All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely
received shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be
submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood, Institute,
Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Rockledge Building,
2, Room 6143, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817-7902, Attention:
Ms. Deborah Coulter. Fax quotations will only be accepted if dated and
signed by an authorized company representative. (0171) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0350 19960620\70-0001.SOL)
