The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for cutting of competing trees and brush in order to provide more growing space for selected well spaced trees. The project area is approximately 35 miles eastward along Highway 36 from Alton, California on the Larabee Buttes access road. During rainy weather the area may only be accessed by a four-wheel drive vehicle. Performance time is 60 calendar days.
