Beaver, Contracting Officer, (502) 758-2251, ext. 26 Mammoth Cave National Park intends to award a sole source contract to Shutterbug, Inc. of Bowling Green, Kentucky, under the authority of the Challenge Cost Share Program, to digitally transfer 5,600 nitrate negatives to CD-ROM for use by the public and staff in the park library. This project requires considerable cost-sharing between the contractor and the Government. This collection constitutes an irreplaceable photographic record of these homesteads and other pre-park structures and cannot be mailed or shipped due to volatility and rarity, as well as being the only photographic record of the conservation work carried out by the CCC at Mammoth Cave National Park during the 1930's.
