Ward, (801) 524-5248, Contracting Officer The work is situated in Rio Arriba County, approximately 16 miles north of Espanola, and approximately 30 miles south of Taos, New Mexico. The principal features of the work include construction of concrete-lined canal, culvert crossings, and road crossings and turnouts; furnishing and installing slide gates and miscellaneous metalwork; and, modifying and/or removing existing structures. Estimated price range is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. Work can not begin until the canal is empty; probably about October 15, 1996. All work must be completed by April 15, 1997. The solicitation will be available on or after July 15, 1996. THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF $12.00 FOR EACH COPY OF THE SOLICITATION.
