Colbert (502) 798-7566 (Site Code DAKF23) Replace existing butterfly valves (hot and chilled water lines) with new ball valves in the equipment rooms of approximately fifty-seven (57) buildings. Size & Approximate quantities of valves to be replaced are: 2'' valves - eight (8) each; 2 1/2'' valves - sixty-three (63) each; and 4'' valves - two hundred eighty-eight (288) each. Contract includes relocation of approximately forty-two (42) each 2 1/2'' or 4'' valves. As the new ball valves are larger than the existing butterfly valves, the typical installation will consist of an existing pipe flange and a new ball valve & pipe flange. If the new ball valve will not fit at the present location of the butterfly valve, it should be installed in adjacent piping and the existing butterfly valve should be replaced with a section of welded pipe. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1711. The small business size standard is average annual receipts of a concern and all affiliates over the preceding three fiscal years cannot exceed $7 million. Period of performance for completion of the project is two hundred forty (240) calendar days. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the ''Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988'' and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. therefore, this solicitation is unrestricted. Estimated range of the project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Award is subject to availability of funds.
