about 14 June 1996, the Coast Guard will release a draft specification
for industry comment. This specification is for the replacement of
medium frequency range, variable, 1000 watt transmitters to broadcast
DGPS corrections. The specification requires the equipment to have
redundant amplification paths with battery backup and remote control
functionality. The specification may be obtained by contacting the
Contracting Officer, LCDR George Asseng, (see block 11) on or after 14
June 1996. It will also be available on the world wide web at the
following address http://www.navcen.uscg.mil/dgps/dgeninfo/TX_SOW.TXT.
Comments are requested by 28 June 1996 and should be directed to the
address in block 7. Any information which may be considered proprietary
should be clearly marked as such (in the margin and by encircling in
the body of your response) and each page containing such information
suitably annotated at the bottom and top thereof. Information received
which is marked ``proprietary'' will be handled in accordance with
government guidelines for protection of proprietary information within
