SYSTEMS POC Kelly Miller, Sr. Subcontract Administrator, &
510-422-2412 The University of California, Lawrence Livermore National
Laboratory, seeks sources for rapidly developing and producing optical
line-of-sight pointing, tracking and stabilization (PTS) systems for
use on high altitude aircraft. PTS systems capable of pointing
accuracies of less than 1 milliradian and image-based closed-loop
jitter control of less than a few microradian rms are of interest.
Automatic and operator-in-the-loop capabilites are of interest. The
outcome of the research is to support one or more electro-optical
instruments with a clear aperture on the order of 30 cm and totaling a
weight of 50 to 200 kg. PTS system developments that can be completed
within an approximately 12 month time period, ARO, are of interest.
This sources sought solicits a description of demonstrated
