The U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC) is seeking industry capabilities for the development and continued work of HgCdTe Nuclear Hardened Focal Plane Arrays (NHFPA) feasibility for Upper Tier Theater Missile Defense (UTTMD) Systems. This effort will continue the development, test and integration of NHFPAs in the configuration required for UTTMD systems compatible with THAAD system. The objective of this effort is to form a baseline for demonstration of NHFPAs in a system compatible configuration and integration with on-going preplanned product improvement (P3I) theater missile defense programs. This will require extensive knowledge and experience with Theater Missile Defense Systems with a particular emphasis to THAAD seeker level integration and testing of FPA/dewar assembly. A SECRET facility clearance will be required. It is anticipated that foreign participation will not be allowed.
