Qualified Sources Sought, SOL RFP 3589-Radiological Analysis Services. MK-Ferguson Company (MK-F), a subsidiary of Morrison Knudsen Corporation is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for a potential supplier to provide laboratory services for radiological analysis of urine and fecal samples. Measurements of urine will be made for total and isotopic uranium each to a detection limit of 0.1 microgram/liter, for radium 226 to 0.1 pCi/liter, radium 228 to 5.0 pCi/liter, Polonium-210 to 0.1 pCi/liter, and lead-210 to 5.0 pCi/liter. In addition, fecal measurements will be made for isotopic thorium and uranium each to 1.0 pCi/sample. No license for the handling of radioactive material is required. Prior to award to the supplier, an inspection and/or acceptance of the selected supplier's facilities, staff, quality assurance program, and standard operating procedures will be required. Inspection will be conducted by the MK-Ferguson Quality Department.
