The contractor shall provide qualified aerobic and aqua-aerobic instructors to conduct exercise classes at the time and places designated by Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MW&R) department. Each aerobic instructor must hold a current valid certificate by a nationally or internationally recognized aerobic association, a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate from the American Red Cross or equivalent and in addition, the aqua-aerobic instructor must be a certified lifeguard. The place of performance is the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland. The period of performance is for a base period from 1 October 1996 through 30 September 1997, plus four one-year options. The Aerobic instruction will consist of 1 hour long classes between 6 and 24 times per week. The Aqua-aerobic instruction will consist of 1 hour long classes between 1 and 6 times a week. SIC code 7991 applies and the small business size standard is $5 Million. The proposed contract is anticipated to be awarded on a firm fixed price basis.
