This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal number is F41621-96-R-7062. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. This is not a small business set-aside. This solicitation is for the upgrade of four (4) CONVEX SPP 1000 to the SPP 1600, part number UIP1016. The installation of these upgraded CPU boards will be no later than 45 days after award of contract. The FOB point will be San Antonio, TX 78243. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. the evaluation of this award will be by price and technical capability. A completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item, must accompany the offer along with the certification at DFARS 252.212-7000. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition as does FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items.
