N -- FURNISH AND INSTALL FIRE SYSTEM AND EMERGENCY LIGHTING FOR LIFE SAFETY AT PARKER DAM, PARKER-DAVIS PROJECT, ARIZONA-CALIFORNIA SOL 1425-6-SI-30-12210 POC Ms. Caryn Rotheim, Procurement Technician, 702-293-8588 There is a requirement to furnish and install a fire alarm system consisting of two fire alarm control panels; approximately 30 horns and 30 strobe lights, 100 smoke detectors, and associated relays, manual pullstations, detector bases, miscellaneous analog control devices, wire (power cable, fiber optics, analog signal control wire, communication wire, etc.), boxes, conduit, connectors, hangers, etc.; and fire alarm operational software, event software, historical event software and the programming of the entire system, which includes software registration and updates for a minimum of 1 year; and furnishing and installing an emergency lighting system consisting of approximately 30 emergency lights and associated wiring. The fire alarm system and emergency lighting system shall be backed up via an existing UPS (Uninterruptable Power System). The power source interface between the systems, the UPS, and Parker Dam may require distribution panels, transformers, breakers, etc. Details about the existing power source shall be provided in the specification. The wiring for both the fire system and the emergency lighting system shall utilize the same new conduit runs. Core drilling will be necessary for routing several of these conduit runs. The estimated cost range of this project is $100,001 to $250,000. The location of this project is Parker Dam which is on the California-Arizona border, 20 miles south of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The performance time for completion of this project is 150 calendar days. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 1731 and the small business size standard is $7 million. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is August 5, 1996. The estimated date for receipt of bids is September 5, 1996.
