Standards and Technology (NIST) has an on-going program to develop
optimized combinations of manufacturing processes and related
metrological techniques for the production of optical, electronic and
ultra-precision mechanical components and substrates. Support is
required in the areas of optical polishing techniques, specifically
including sub-aperture polishing of aspherics; sub-surface damage
evaluation; optical design and analysis; aspheric optics test methods;
and low damage micro-grinding. Period of Performance is one base year
and four options years--FOB Destination Gaithersburg, MD--The
Government estimate of the labor required for this support is one man
year per contract year--The proposed contract is a 100% set-aside for
Small Business Concern whose average annual receipts of the concern and
its affiliates for its preceding three fiscal years must not exceed
$3,500,000. The SIC Code is 8742--All responsible small business
sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
