MANCHESTER, KY SOL RFP 258-0039-6. Due 082996. POC Michelle Davy,
Contract Specialist, 606-253-8892. The Federal Bureau of Prisons
intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified
individual or business capable of providing testing to inmates housed
at the Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester KY. Services would
include but are not limited to the following: administer, analyze,
review and evaluate the ABLE, CASAS, TABE AND GED tests. The contract
will be considered a contractual agreement and not a personnel
appointment. Payment will be made based on the accomplishment of
specific results. The contractor will not be supervised. The work
schedule will be flexible and determined by mutual agreement between
the contractor and the COTR. There will normally be 6 (six) sessions
per week at 4 (four) hours per session. All supplies will be provided
by the government. Requirements include a degree in education, and at
least one year of experience in teaching area and one year of
supervisory experience. An advanced degree in teaching or test and
measurements is preferred but not required. The contract period will
include a base year, not to exceed 12 months from date of award, with
four option periods for renewal. Total number of sessions will not
exceed 312. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is July 15,
1996 with an anticipated receipt of offers date of August 29, 1996.
