Contract Specialist, 606-253-8892. The Federal Bureau of Prisons
intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified
individual or business capable of providing ceramics instruction to
inmates housed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester KY.
The contractor will be considered a contractual agreement and not a
personal appointment. Payment will be made based on the accomplishment
of specific results. The contractor will not be supervised. The work
schedule will be flexible and determined by mutual agreement between
the contractor and the COTR. There will normally be 4 (four) sessions
per week at 3 (three) hours per session. All supplies will be provided
by the government. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
providing a curriculum which will lead to students in receiving
education credit upon completion, in both beginning and advanced
ceramic classes. Requirements include at least one year of experience
in ceramics. A bachelor or associate degree is preferred but not
required. The contract period will include a base year, not to exceed
12 months from date of award, with four option periods for renewal.
Total number of sessions will not exceed 208. The anticipated issue
date of the solicitation is July 17, 1996, with an anticipated receipt
of offers date of August 20, 1996. Request for proposal package
