Pre-Solicitation Notice for REPAIR/REPLACE HVAC, COMPOSITE O&T FACILITY, PN:KKGA922001, for the North Dakota Air National Guard, Hector IAP, Fargo, North Dakota. The project consists of a general upgrade to the mechanical system of Building 400 (Composite Operations & Training Facility). The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and miscellaneous resources required to complete the work as shown on the project plans and detailed in the project specifications and the SOW (Statement of Work). The scope of work includes installation of a central air conditioning system serving approximately 1100 SF of the facility to include rooftop units, ductwork and diffusers, controls, and all other appurtenant items. Demolition of existing boiler, expansion tank, storage tanks, heat exchangers, air handling units, ductwork, piping, valves, ceiling tile, and other appurtenant mechanical, general, and electrical items. Replacement of existing boilers with dual-fired energy efficient heat plants. Conversion of the existing steam heating system to a hot water system. Replacement of existing temperature controls with an electronic control system. Replacement of existing heat transfer system components such as piping, valves, controls, and other appurtenant items. Replacement of all galvanized domestic water piping with copper piping, and replacement/installation of pipe insulation as required. All general and electrical work associated with the installation or construction of the above-noted mechanical items. The project bidding documents will be tentatively available on 10 July 1996, with a tentative bid opening date of 14 August 1996. Performance period for this project is 180 days from receipt of the NTP (Notice to Proceed). Magnitude of this construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Specifications and drawings will be available at all area exchanges. All requests for the IFB should be received in this office by July 8, 1996. Bidders are informed that if they do not submit a bid, they should notify this office as to whether they want to receive future presolicitation notices. This IFB is being issued unrestricted. There is a non-refundable fee of $15.00 for the receipt of the bidding documents.
