The principle features of work are as follows: (a) replacement of existing entry with new entry vestibule and covered walkway to existing building, (b) removal of existing wood siding and installation of new exterior brick vaneer and foundations, (c) repair existing roof by installing a new standing seam metal roof/structural frame system, (d) removal of existing windows and replacement with new insulated windows, and (e) the relocation/replacement of existing mechanical equipment. Work also includes interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm systems.--This is a firm fixed price contract.--The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.--The performance period will be about 180 days.--This acquisition is an unrestricted procurement.--Only mail or facsimile requests for solicitation packages will be accepted.--This office proposes to issue IFB F03602-96-B0004 on or about 28 May 96.
