LAWS, (314) 331-8500 (Site Code DACW43) The St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers, intends to negotiate a contract with Norfolk Southern Corporation on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 for Construction Services. The work is expected to consist of performing all engineering and design, construction, and construction management as necessary to modify the existing Norfolk Southern Corporation Bridge S-31.07 to accommodate requirements of the St. Peters, Missouri Old Town Levee Project. It is proposed that this work will generally consist of (1) removing the existing timber trestle including wood pilings, (2) replacing same with a new structure having a single intermediate support and new end abutment, and (3) performing all channel work necessary to meet Corps flood control requirements at the bridge location on Norfolk Southern Corporation right-of-way.
