202/942-3248. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is
seeking potential sources to provide commercially available
``off-the-shelf'' (COTS) software to maintain an archive and inquiry
date warehouse for loans and other assets. The software will assist
staff answering questions about sold assets as well as locating
information on assets remaining for sale. Software must be compatible
with a Microsoft client/server environment using Microsoft Windows v3.1
and support a SQL Server or Oracle DBMS. Must operate within both a
Banyan Vines and Windows NT network. Estimate 2 million assets with
future expansion expected, 50 concurrent users in 8 locations
nationwide. Wild-card search, ad hoc and standard reporting, and
download capabilities desired for users. Must be able to communicate
with other FDIC mainframe and client/server-based systems for asset
grouping and sales. Unsold assets will be updated with current servicer
information a regular and periodic basis. Update capability to a
limited number of users, majority of users will be read-only. The FDIC
desires to purchase or lease existing software only. Interested firms
