The government has a need to establish an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity requirements contract for the purchase and installation of poly vinyl chloride (PVC) vertical blinds in military family houses located in the South Housing area of Patrick AFB FL. Installation will take place within 10 different floor plans with a maximum limit of 425 housing units. Installation can take place in unoccupied or occupied quarters. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install PVC vertical blinds to include headrails with auto roto mechanism. PVC to be bone white, vertical louvers shall be classified under UL94V-0, tracks to be Graber G71 or equal. All PVC vertical blinds will be in accordance with government specifications stated in solicitation. Verticals will be installed by the Contractor within two weeks after the Government provides address or addresses to the contractor. Installation in the home will be limited to 3 days. If installing in an occupied residence, contractor must remove/rehang existing draperies/curtains to include patching/painting of holes where traverse rods were removed from interior walls. Government will have 100% inspection of work. Head channel track shall be warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product. Finished louvers shall be warranted against defect in materials and workmanship for a one-year period. Prior to fabrication, contractor shall verify opening dimension by accurate measurements and fabricate blind units to fill openings completely from head to sill and jamb to jamb. Resulting contract will be basic year with two option years. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. The applicable SIC code and size standard are 2591/500 employees. RFP will be procured as a commercial buy. Solicitation issue date of 10 Jul 96 and proposal due date of 9 Aug 96 are tentative.
