Moore:305-324-3281 Professional Architect/Engineer Services to perform
field investigation, design services, construction plans and
specifications, cost estimates and construction period services for a
project to provide monitoring of pressure conditions of 22 isolation
rooms and one fume hood with use of differential pressure monitors at
the VA Medical Center, Miami, Florida, 33125. Monitors are to be tied
into this facility's existing Energy Management System for remote as
well as doorside monitoring. Monitors will be equipped with door
switches to monitor the status of the doors and will have an
audio/visual alarm. Rooms will be hard ducted for a dedicated exhaust
system with a redundant fan system on the roof. A/E will study and
advise on the relocation of the existing isolation rooms for
convenience of duct layout. Expansion of the existing Energy Mgmt.
System to include the monitoring of this facility's waste water
treatment area. Upgrading the existing Energy Mgmt. System by replacing
the SCU's and MBC's. All new work and equipment must tie into and be
compatible with this facility's Energy Mgmt. System and equipment. All
work will be done in accordance with the A/E Statement of Task. All
responsible sources will be considered. Rating factors will be in
accordance with Far 36. Construction cost is estimated to be between
$100,000 and $250,000. Interested firms should submit updated Standard
Forms 254 and 255 by COB July 23, 1996. Selection and award are
