This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The Department of the Navy Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Division (NCCOSC RDTE DIV), San Diego, CA intends to award a SOLE SOURCE Firm-Fixed Price type contract to Xybion Corp., 4500 140TH Ave No., Clearwater FL 34622-3842. A propsal is being requested from Xybion Corp. and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N66001-96-R-0133. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32 of October 1, 1995. The required hardware to be repaired is commercially sold by Xybion. The requirement is for repair of damaged Gyro stabilized pan and tilt system Model P/N 114210001 manufactured by the Andrew Kintec Corp. Also modify and improve control system for superior operation relative to current control system. Quantity: One each. The item to be repaired will be shipped on a GBL to Xybion and after repair returned to NRaD code 754 on a GBL. The shipping will be FOB: Origin.
