Those prospective offerors who are Small Business are invited to participate in this procurement. The Contractor shall perform body and fender repair for both light and heavy equipment, (2) mechanical repair for light equipment, (3) mechanical repair for heavy equipment and (4) vehicle washing/polishing and interior cleaning services (5) Estimating of services. These services are to be performed under a Requirement Contract on an as needed basis for the U.S. Navy PWC Transportation Department. The Government shall order work using a ''Shop Repair Order (SR0)'' describing the equipment to be repaired, location of equipment, scope of work and the type of repair(s). Contractors may submit bids for one, a combination of one or more or for all schedules. Bids will be evaluated on the basis of advantages and disadvantages to the Government that might result from making more than one Award (MULTIPLE AWARD). The lowest price PER SCHEDULE or combination of schedules are basis for award. The contract term will be for a base and four option periods of up to 12 months each with prices established at award. The duration of the contract including the exercise of options shall not exceed 66 months. Specifications are expected to be ready for issue on or about 17 July 1996.
