constitutes a Sources Sought synopsis. The following information is
provided to do a market survey of industry to see if there are any
potentialcontractors, in addition to The Boeing Company, who have the
skills, knowledge and other resources required to complete this effort.
The contractor shall store excess Minuteman hardware (exclusive of
motors) from deactivated missiles, support equipment, and Government
Furnished Equipment that will be used solely by the RSLP. A holding
account will be maintained at Freeport Center, UT for storage of spare
MM hardware items (exclusive of rocket motors). At Vandenberg AFB, CA,
support equipment and GFE transferred to RSLP will be maintained,
controlled and inventoried to support RSLP launch requirements. The
period of performance for the contemplated contract will be for a basic
year and two one-year options. There is no available data package
(drawings and specifications). Boeing is the only currently qualified
source for the effort identified hereunder. Subject to the Government's
consideration, a viable source, not already qualified to provide the
requisite services, should submit a concise and program specific
response presenting sufficient information to substantiate that they
have the necessary knowledge and understanding of the requirements;
employees with satisfactory qualifications; and appropriate management
and engineering experience with the ICBM and/or similar ICBM programs
to be able to perform this effort without technical, schedule, or cost
risk. The proposed contract action is for supplies/services for which
the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a
limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Potential
offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirement. Potential offerors are requested to submit two (2) copies
of an unclassified response (limited to 30 pages) within 10 days after
publication of this notice, to OO-ALC/LMKE, 6038 Aspen Ave, SE ANNEX,
Hill AFB, Ut 84056-5802, ATTN: SHARON PORTER, Contracting Officer.
Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose
of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is
suggested that small business firms or others interested in
subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described
