RFP. This RFP is subject to the availability of FY96 funds. The U.S.
Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Legislative
and Public Affairs,(LPA/MC), intends to issue a Request for Proposal
(RFP) for a ONE-year, with TWO (2), ONE-year Options, Indefinite
Quantity Contract for a full-service video production house services
contract to handle the Agency's wide-range of production needs in the
Washington, D.C. area. This will be a Small-Business Set-Aside Contract
under SIC code 7812. The Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs of
the Agency for International Development is responsible for
Congressional liaison, Press and Media. This contract provides a
variety of professional and technical services to obtain the Agency's
wide-range of production needs: satellite video program production, and
transmission capabilities with an insert studio. The completed programs
must be of broadcast quality. In order to be eligible for contract
award, an offeror must be certified on the Qualified Producers List
(QPL). Please contact the Federal Audiovisual Contract Management
Office at (703)274-4875 for verification that you are on the list or to
request an application. The contractor's facility must be within a ten
mile radius to the State Department Building located at 21st & C Sts,
NW in Washington, DC. The preferred method of distribution of USAID
procurement information is via the internet or by request of a
solicitation on a 3.5'' floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format). It is
estimated that the solicitation will also be available on Internet on
or about 7/12/96. The RFP, once issued, can be downloaded from the
Agency Gopher. The Gopher address is GOPHER.INFO.USAID.GOV. Select
USAID PROCUREMENT AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES from the Gopher menu. From
there, choose the heading USAID PROCUREMENTS and then DOWNLOAD
AVAILABLE USAID SOLICITATIONS. The RFP can also be downloaded via
Anonymous File Transfer Protocol (FTP). The FTP address is
FTP.INFO.USAID.GOV. Logon on using the user identification of
''anonymous'' and the password is your e-mail address. Look under the
following directory for the RFP: pub/OP/RFP/AEP9603/aep9603.rfp.
Receipt of this RFP through INTERNET must be confirmed by written
notification to the contact person noted above. It is the
responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation document to ensure
that it has been received from INTERNET in its entirety and USAID bears
