The U.S. Department of Energy, Albuquerque Operations Office (AL) is seeking course catalogs and pricing information from training vendors in the microcomputer field. The AL operates a client/server microcomputer network using Windows 3.1 on the clients and Windows NT/LAN Manager on the Servers. AL has chosen the Microsoft Suite of products, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, MS-MAIL, and Scheduler Plus as the desktop standards. Vendors would be expected to offer courses which would address the courses identified in the catalog provided on a Just-In-Time (JIT) basis. Since AL facilities are located throughout the country, special requests may involve conducting training at off-site facilities. Besides the Albuquerque, NM location, there are facilities located in Los Alamos, NM, Kansas City, MO, Grand Junction, CO, Carlsbad, NM Amarillo, TX and Oak Ridge, TN. AL has implemented the use of a Government Purchase Card System (VISA), for payment of invoices. It would be desirable if the training vendor allowed for the use of the VISA for the payment of training courses.
