Project consists of installation of new, and modification of existing building interior fire alarm and reporting systems at various facilities located at the Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, CA. Work elements within each building include provision and installation of fire alarm initiation, notification, signaling devices, and related appurtenances including wiring, conduit, and fire alarm panels. Plans and specifications available on/about August 1, 1996. Estimated cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. This Procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policyon April 16, 1993. Potential offerors are responsible for down loading their own copy of the solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will be made available upon request, but the closing date will be the same as that required for the NAIS release. RFO expected release date is August 1, 1996. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the NAIS for solicitation release as the solicitation will be released as soon as practicable, whether prior or subsequent to the project date. Any concerns or issues relative to this procurement should be addressed to the Contracting Officer identified above. However, an ombudsman has also been appointed to hear concerns from offerors, potential offerors and contractors if necessary.
