Work is to add an additional 5,700 square feet of sprinkler protection to that of the existing wet-type sprinkler system located in the Basement of Building 36, Sections B & C. The area houses chillers, switchgear, and a generator. Flow and tamper switch alarms are to be installed and tied to the building's existing Energy Monitoring Control System. Protective shields are to be installed for the protection of electrical equipment. The work shall be performed by a licensed sprinkler contractor. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 120 days. The approximate cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The work shall be performed at Defense Mapping Agency located at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, Mo. This is a Request for Quote using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There will be no public bid opening.
