Procurement is Unrestricted. Provide all necessary labor,
parts/materials, equipment and facility to accomplish the following
repairs to the Government-Owned Vessel ''COYOTE''. BID SCHEDULE I,
DEFINITE ITEMS: (1) Arrival Test and Inspection, (2) Docking and
Berthing, (3) Sea Chests and Valves, (4) Rudder Stock Stuffing Boxes,
(5) Stern and Strut Bearings and Shaft Condition Survey, (6)
Hydrostatic Test of Air Tank, (7) Potable Water System, (8) Clean and
Paint Hull and Main Deck, (9) Clean and Paint Lattice Boom Crane, (10)
Clean and Paint Engine Room Bilge Area, (11) Non Destructive Sonic
Hull Survey, (12) Dripless Bearings, (13) Hull Plate Renewal and
Structural Repairs, (14) Modify Port and Starboard Exhaust Stacks, (15)
Install Engine Room Blower System, (16) Function Cut-Out System on
Barge Mounted Crane, (17) Replace Wheelhouse Window Wiper Systems, (18)
Replace Leaking Fuel Valve on Main Deck, (19) Replace Access Door on
Crane Cab, (20) Trials and Tests, (21) Repair of Landing Pontoons,
Gangway, and All Associated Components. BID SCHEDULE II, INDEFINITE
ITEMS: (1) Additional Drydocking, (2) Additional Lay Day on Drydock,
(3) Additional Lay Day at Dockside, (4) Hull Zincs Replacement, (5)
Propeller Shaft Nut Covers, (6) Hull Plate Replacement, (7) Propeller
Removal and Reinstallation, (8) Propeller Shaft Removal and
Reinstallation, (9) Rudder Removal and Reinstallatin, (10) Pontoon
Interior Coating, (11) Miscellaneous Journeyman Labor. Performance
Period will be forty-five (45) Calendar Days after receipt of the
Vessel ''COYOTE''. Successful Bidder shall have dry dock facility
available within the San Francisco Bay Area. All Contractors MUST hold
or be willing to execute a Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration
of Vessels with the U.S. Army Engineer District, SF, COE. All
interested Contractors are reminded that the Successful Contractor will
be expected to place/subcontract to the maximum practicable extent with
Small and Disadvantaged Businesses in accordance with the Provisions
and Public Law 95-107. Small and Disadvantaged Businesses are
encouraged to participate as Prime Contractors or as members of Joint
Ventures with other Small and Disadvantaged Businesses. Requests for
Plans/Specifications and Drawings of Solicitation No. DACW07-96-B-0010
shall be in writing (or faxing request(s), FAX No. (415)977-8513) to
the attention of Ofelia (Offel) R. Rosales within fifteen (15) days
from the date of this Announcement. NOTE: There will be one (1)
Scheduled Site Visit to acquaint Bidders with the Vessel's areas and
work to be performed. Advance Notice from those who wish to attend is
requested. The Date/Time and Place of Site Visit: August 1, 1996
(Thursday), 1000 (10:00 A.M., Pacific Standard Time (PST) at the U.S.
Army Engineer District, SF, COE, Base Yard, 2100 Bridgeway, Sausalito,
