Modification: The Naval Sea Systems Command originally publicized its intent to procure Navy Flak Vests, which appeared in the CDB on December 19, 1995. The Navy Flak Vests are comprised of ballistic insert panels enclosed in a flame resistant/water repellent treated outer shell. The December 19, 1995 CBD Synopsis further indicated that the requirement included 5 First Article Units and 4,000 production units. This modification is to inform potential offerors that the requirements have been revised as follows: (1) the requirement is for (5) five First Article Units, 4,400 production units, with an option for up to an additional 5,900 production units; (2) the Solicitation will be posted on the NAVSEA Contracts World Wide Web home page in August 1996 at the following address: http://sea02www.navsea.navy.mil/. The solicitation can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. A limited number of complete RFP packages will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the NAVSEA Industry Liaison Office, Room 5E40 in the Zachary Taylor Building (National Center #3) 2531 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA.
