The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to award a Firm-Fixed Sole Source contract on other than full and open competitition basis contract for lithium thermal batteries to support telemetry systems for the SIDEWINDER Missile Project training rounds. The maximum number of units for this contract will be 220 within a two year period of performance. This procurement will be awarded to Eagle Picher Industries because they are the only known missile battery source in the United States meeting the form, fit and function specified in a pre-existing missile telemetry fabrication package.
