M -- CONCESSION CONTRACT SOL DINOXXX-97 DUE 102196 POC Concessions Specialist, Ann Excell, 970/374-3019 Public notice is hereby given that the National Park Service proposes to award eleven concessions contracts to provide commercially guided, interpretive whitewater river tours for the public at Dinosaur National Monument, in Colorado and Utah for a period of five (5) years from January 1, 1997, through December 31, 2001. It is the intention of the National Park Service to recognize the current concessioners' right of preference to renew during the award of the new contracts. Interested parties should contact the Superintendent, Dinosaur National Monument for information as to the requirements of the proposed contracts. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The existing concessioners have performed their obligations to the satisfaction of the Director under the existing contracts which expire by limitation of time on December 31, 1996, and therefore pursuant to the provisions of Section 5 of the Act of October 9, 1965, (79 Stat. 969; 16 U.S.C. 20), are entitled to be given preference in the renewal of new contracts as defined in 36 CFR, 51.5. The Director will consider and evaluate all offers received as a result of this notice. Any offer, including that of an existing concessioners, must be received by the Superintendent, Dinosaur National Monument not later than the October 21, 1996 to be considered and evaluated. (0176)
