V -- RIGGER SUPPORT SERVICES SOL N00253-96-R-0025 POC Contact Point: Victor Angkico 360-396-5671 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport is soliciting for rigger services to support the disassembly, extraction, truck loading, relocation, and placement of 20 large machine tools at NUWC Division Keyport, in Washington State. All rigger services will require close coordination with on site government and other contractor personnel, and is expected to require approximately 12 weeks to complete. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded as a firm fixed price. Rigger services to be provided by the contractor will involve: 1) Support during disassembly of four large machining centers (i.e. removal of machine heads); 2) Extraction of 20 machine tools on site at NUWC Keyport. Machine weights range from 2 to 40 Tons each. Four machines must be extracted from below-grade foundations ranging in depth from 2 to 4 feet. Maximum door openings for ingress and egress for extraction is 11.5 feet wide by 11.5 feet high; 2) Relocation and placement of seven machines on site within NUWC Keyport; 3) Loading of six machine tools onto commercial trucks for shipment. Approximately 10 commercial trucks is estimated to be utilized for shipment and will be government provided; 4) Transport of four large machining centers from NUWC Division Keyport to the Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO), Ft. Lewis, Washington. Six truckloads are estimated to be required. DRMO, Ft. Lewis is approximately 35 miles from NUWC Keyport; 5) Transport of three machine tools from NUWC Keyport to the Bangor Naval Base, Washington. Two truckloads are estimated to be required. The Bangor Naval Base is approximately 7 miles from NUWC Keyport. The solicitation will be issued on or about 17 July 1996 with a 30 day closing date. All responsible sources may submit an offer.
