Andrews AFB MD intends to negotiate with Automated Prescription Systems Inc, PO Box 4118, 4333 Shreveport Hwy, Pineville, LA 71361-4118 on a sole source basis to enter into a new contract for the lease and maintenance of an automated prescription system. The Authority for this plan of action is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302(a)(2)(iii) and FAR 6.302(b)(2), only one or a limited number of qualified sources and no other type of supply or service will satisfy agency requirements; and the system is patented. The government is contemplating a firm fixed price contract for a basic period of one year plus three one year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options.
