Project is located on the right bank of the Lewis River, approx. RM 6, just downstream from Woodland, Cowlitz County, Washington. Repair/rehabilitate approximately 6,100 LF along the landward slope of the levee and approximately 25 LF along the riverward slope. In areas of extensive slumping and sloughing (1 @ 200 LF and 1 @ 100 LF), the slope will be excavated, and quarry stone will be placed. For the remaining areas, the slope will be regraded and recompacted. Work on the slope will also include placing embankment material (clean sand from borrow) on a 1V to 5H slope; placing soil blanket and seeding the slope. The approximate quantities are as follow: Stripping: 6.2 acres; Excavation: 650 cubic yards; Regrading: 6,600 square yards; Quarry Stone: 270 cubic yards; Embankment: 36,300 cubic yards; Soil Blanket: 11,700 cubic yards; Seeding: 10 acres. Estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and should be bid per line item. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns, the size standard for which is a concern, including affiliates, having an average annual sales or receipts for the preceding three years not to exceed $13.5 million.
