Operations, PN: KKGA942013, for the North Dakota Air National Guard,
Hector IAP, Fargo, North Dakota. The project consists of a general
upgrade and repair to the heating, ventilating and air conditioning
(HVAC) system of Building 218 (Squadron Operations). The contractor
shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and miscellaneous
resources required to complete the work as shown on the project plans
and detailed in the project specifications and the SOW (Statement of
Work). The scope of work includes demolition of existing air handling
units, diffusers and ductwork: steam and condensate pipe, valves, and
appurtenant items; condensing unit and refrigerant piping, domestic
water piping; and associated general and electrical items. Conversion
of the existing steam heating system to a hot water system to include;
conversion of the boiler from steam to hot water; installation of hot
water piping, pumps, and appurtenant items; and removal and
replacement of all steam heat exchangers, heating coils, piping, pumps,
etc. Removal of existing air handling units and replacement with
variable Air Volume (VAV) units with reheat coils and individual room
thermostats. Installation of a computer room air conditioning unit and
condenser. Construction and installation of all necessary supply and
return ductwork, terminal units, and/or diffusers. Removal of existing
temperature controls and installation of new electronic control
system. The project bidding documents will be tentatively available on
10 July 1996, with a tentative bid opening date of 14 August 1996.
Performance period for this project is 180 days from receipt of the NTP
(Notice to Proceed). Magnitude of this construction is between
$250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Specifications and drawings will be
available at all area exchanges. All requests for the IFB should be
received in this office by July 8, 1996. Bidders are informed that if
they do not submit a bid, they should notify this office as to whether
they want to receive future presolicitation notices. This IFB is being
issued unrestricted. There is a non-refundable fee of $15.00 for the
receipt of the bidding documents. If you wish to receive the bidding
documents mail a check, made payable to ``The U.S. Treasury'', along
with a letter (on firm's letterhead), requesting the bidding documents.
