and Canadian industry to identify potential contractors capable of
manufacturing cannon caliber ammunition to support the Government's
preparedness needs for the following items. A minimum monthly
requirement is required. Interested parties have to be able to
manufacture each caliber as a family. This means they should be able to
provide a mix of items for each caliber each month, but not all three

30mm rounds 30MM PGU-15 28113791 Specific skills, equipment, and
facilities required to manufacture subject cannon caliber cartridges
are as follows: explosive experts, quality control specialists, process
engineers, set-up mechanics, tool setters/machinists, pelleting/tracer
charge/gage and weigh operators, load and assemble machines, explosive
storage and handling equipment, ballistic test equipment, metal
forming/finishing equipment, and phosphate coating and packing
equipment. Explosive safety standards have to be enforced and
recommended distances between explosive storage buildings and
manufacturing/load and pack buildings have to be maintained/enforced in
accordance with Army Regulation 385-64 and Department of Defense
Standard 6055.9. A respondent to this market survey must also have
available, or be able to subcontract, the test range and skills
required to perform ballistic test operations on all produced cannon
caliber ammunition. A respondent must also have available the
appropriate maintenance, tooling, and manufacturing engineering skills
required to support quality production of these items. A respondent
must currently possess these processes in-house or demonstrate the
ability to acquire them. Technical data does exist for these items. A
detailed questionnaire, including top drawing data, may be provided to
capable respondents. A $1,000.00 payment each will be required to
receive a complete up-to-date certified Technical Data Package for
listed items. Interested firms who feel they are capable of
manufacturing these items, based on the above criteria, are invited to
indicate their interest by providing to the government a summary of
their company's capabilities, including a description of facilities,
personnel, and past manufacturing experiences. Information must be
submitted within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication to

planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for
Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The
Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this
market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The
