The 45th Space Wing intends to procure four telemetry data transmission equipment units including documentation and spares. Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment, or COTS equipment which has been minimally modified, is desired. Delivery of the units is expected 120 days after receipt of order. The unit will function as the terminal equipment for the simultaneous sending and receiving of telemetry pulse code modulator digital data in full duplex operation. The sending section of the unit will function as a ten-channel multiplexer for a communications standard T2 line and will accept data and coherent clock at bit rates of 10 bps to 5.68 Mbps per channel. The input data rates will be nonstandard communication data rates and will vary up to 10% during transmission. (NOTE: This fact is what makes most standard communication multiplexers unsuitable for this application.) The input/output communication transmission rate will be the standard T2 rate of 6.312 Mbps. The receive section of the unit will function as a demultiplexer for a communications standard T2 line and deliver up to ten channels of digital and coherent clock. The output channel data will be identical in data content and rate to the signal provided as input to the multiplexing unit at the sending end of the link. Bursts of output data rates are not acceptable. Changing the setup of any one channel shall not affect the other channels' data or setup. The applicable SIC code is 3663 and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
