The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Div, Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Florida intends to award a contract for the manufacture of nine (9) each VHS Motor Assemblies and two (2) each Low Mag Motor Assemblies. These Motor Assemblies will be manufactured in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command drawings #6098094 (VHS Motor Assy) and drawing #6097770 (Low Mag Motor Assy) with associated drawings. The drawing defines the requirements for the VHS Motor Assy to be non-magnetic, two (2) speed reversable, squirrel cage induction type motor. Parts used in the motor shall be of non-magnetic material having a maximum relative permeability of less than 2.0. The enclosure shall be water-tight with sealed ball bearings. Motor shall have a horizontal foot frame (foot mount size 256). Designed operating voltage shall be 440 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hertz. Power ouput shall be 10 HP at 3600 RPM or 3.3 HP at 1200 RPM in either direction. The Low Mag Motor Assy shall be 60 Hertz alternating current, integral horsepower (shipboard use). Voltage is 440 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hertz. 20 horsepower, 1800 RPM syncromous. Squirrel cage induction. Period of Performance is 120 days after award of contract.
