The Corpus Christi Army Depot has a new Advanced Metal Finishing Facility which has an elaborate water treatment system for removing metals from rinse water and concentrated liquids, purifying city water for use in plating operations and recycling scrubber water. The goal of the facility is a 90 percent reduction in water consumption. The contractor will be required to provide to control corrosion, algae and slime in the new facility. The services are to be provided at the Corpus Christi Army Depot. The period of the services is 1 August 1996 through 31 July 1997. Negotiations are to be conducted solely with National Chemical, PO Box 18627, Corpus Christi TX 78480-8627. The Contractor is presently providing similar services for the Depot. See Numbered Note 22.
