Military Traffic Management Command Western Area, Oakland, CA, Contracts Division anticipates initiating a procurement for privately-owned vehicle (POV) and military vehicle processing services. Contractor is required to furnish facilities, management, labor, supplies, equipment and materials to handle Department of Defense service member and dependent POVs and motorcycles, and military vehicles for the 1302nd Major Port Command (MPC). Contractor will be required to perform the following operations: receiving, processing, intransit storage and delivery, loading and unloading POVs and military vehicles from seavans, milvans, or trucks, draying and towing, and preparation of supporting documentation. Workload data from FY `95: 2,649 export vehicles and 2,501 import vehicles. The 1302nd MPC, currently located at Oakland Army Base, CA, is anticipated to relocate to Naval Weapons Station Concord, CA on/about June 1997.
