This is a Procurement Notice: Synopsis No. Z-96020: The work includes relocation of existing HV-1 (Heating Ventilating Unit) from a floor mounted location to an overhead position, removal of existing HV-4 Unit and removal of existing mezzanine mounted AHU-1 (Air Handling Unit). The existing McQuay 65 ton water chiller used for air conditioning shall be removed. A new main floor mounted vertical draw thru air handling unit with inlet vane damper shall be provided in place of the removed AHU-1. Variable air volume dampers shall take the place of hot and cold deck coils and dampers of the multizone unit. Ductwork and piping shall be modified and added for the relocated HV-1 and the new AHU-1 as well as heating coils in the VAV boxes. A new air cooled rotary chiller will be provided in place of the removed chiller. Existing electrical services will be modified to suit the demolished as well as the new conditions. The existing pneumatic automatic temperature control system will be extended and modified to control the new and relocated equipment and incidental related work. Abatement of lead containing residue from ducts and air handlers will also be required. Estimated cost range: $100,000 - $250,000. The Sic code is 1711 and the small business size standard is (7.0 million) are applicable to this contract. The proposed contract (solicitation) will be issued as unrestricted and the solicitation is subject to evaluation criteria set forth in DFAR 252.219-7003 - ''Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns - Construction Acquisitions - Test Program (APR 1996).''
