This directorate intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) F29650-96-B0022 on or about 18 Aug 96. Responses will be due approximately thirty (30) days thereafter. The Government intends to procure this project under full and open (unrestricted) competition. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 with an estimated performance period of 180 calendar days. Contractors bidding as the prime contractor must have a primary Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of 2491 with a size standard of 500 employees. In general the work will consist of a visual inspection, a sounding inspection, excavation, boring, and application of fumigant and internal/external treatment, evaluation for reinforcement, documentation, and establishing a pole numbering system. Please note that funds are not presently available, however, they have been requested. This IFB is based upon your understanding that (1) funds are not available and (2) if funds do not become available no obligation will be incurred by the Government because of this IFB.
