Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Repair/Replace Government Fence, Eglin AFB FL. Bid opening date of 26 Aug 96 is only an estimated date. In general, contractor is to provide all materials, labor, and equipment to repair and replace fencing located on government property, Okaloosa Island. Approximately 12,500 linear feet of damaged fencing will require the existing 9 gauge (GA) smooth galvanized wire to be replace or reattached to the existing 4 inch diameter fence posts. Some fence posts are leaning and will need to be reset. Approximately 7,150 linear feet of fencing will have to be replaced with new 3 strands of 9 GA smooth galvanized wire attached to new 8' long - 4'' square diameter CCA 0.40 treated fence posts. All 8'-0'' long fence posts will be embedded 3'-0'' minimum. Bracing and stiffeners shall be required every 150 linear feet. Seven mazes will be constructed along the fence route. Estimated dollar range is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
