Requirements for the Cap, Blasting: Non-Electric delay, M14 and Cap, Blasting: Non-Electric, delay M14 (Inert). The M14 shall consist of a length of M700 Time Blasting Fuze, complying with MIL-F-45144, environmentally sealed at one end, with a military M7 - dimensioned Non-Electric, factory installed O-delay blasting cap at the other end. The output of the blasting cap shall be equivalent to a number 12 commercial blasting cap. The M14 shall be capable of initiating composition C-4 explosive. The M14 (Inert) shall be an inert version of the M14 which uses inert time blasting fuze complying with MIL-F-45144. Basic contract quantities anticipated are 130,000 - 160,000 M14's and 8,000 - 10,000 M14 (Inert). Contract options for additional quantities for FY97 and FY98 are also anticipated. Bid samples will be required with submission of offer which includes one box of blasting caps with a length of M700 Time Fuze attached (minimum of 20 items) in its commercial packaging.
